SURFACE AND BOTTOM is an immersive space fusing two distinct interactive installations.
The first called SURFACE comprises a ‘curtain’ of vertically aligned tubes inside a steel frame. As participants touch the tubes and put them in motion, floating images are revealed.
Using an entirely different technique, BOTTOM invites the audience to draw on a board with chalk which will trigger and influence the sounds and projected visuals.
Participants exploring the first SURFACE installation are able to see all that is happening at the BOTTOM level through the tube curtain they are interacting with. This intermedial disposition thematically explores the depth of human thought. All concepts we assimilate, opinions we forge, notions we acquire and approaches we adopt always have a deep-rooted reasoning behind them, a whole influential mechanism that continuously evolves.
